Job summary

Sabino Recovery is seeking a dedicated Facilities/Maintenance Worker to maintain the physical integrity of our treatment center, ensuring a safe, clean, and operational environment for staff, clients, and visitors.

Candidates should have at least 2 years of facilities maintenance experience, with strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in facilities management preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of facilities maintenance experience.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools and maintenance equipment.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage time, and prioritize tasks.
• Strong communication skills with staff, clients, and vendors.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor incl. lifting, climbing, and weather exposure.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on facility equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs, ensuring safety compliance.
• Coordinate with external contractors for repairs and large projects.
• Maintain grounds and waste management for a clean environment.
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies to minimize downtime.
• Keep records of maintenance activities and inspections.
• Manage inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Assist with setup and teardown for events and meetings.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines to promote safety.
