Momentum Recovery Virginia LLC is seeking a Maintenance and Housekeeping Technician to support daily operations at Wildwood Recovery Center in Clintwood, VA. The role combines light facility maintenance with routine housekeeping duties, ensuring safe, clean, and presentable areas for residents and staff.

You will perform routine repairs, maintain HVAC and building systems, manage cleaning logs, and coordinate with the Facility Director.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in facility maintenance, housekeeping, or a related field preferred.
  • Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repair.
  • Ability to pass a background check consistent with behavioral health facility employment requirements.
  • Valid driver's license preferred.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time across varied tasks, and communicate effectively with facility staff.
  • Comfort working in a residential treatment environment and interacting respectfully with residents in recovery.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine repairs and preventive maintenance on the building, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall and painting work.
  • Respond to maintenance requests and complete work orders in a timely manner.
  • Inspect HVAC, lighting, door hardware, locks, and building systems.
  • Conduct routine safety checks: smoke detectors, extinguishers, exit signage, emergency lighting.
  • Maintain grounds, walkways, parking areas and seasonal tasks like snow/ice removal.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors for repairs beyond scope, under Facility Director.
  • Keep inventory of tools, parts, supplies and communicate reorder needs.
  • Clean and sanitize common areas, offices, restrooms, and shared living spaces.
  • Clean resident rooms and bathrooms per protocols and privacy standards.
  • Manage laundry services for linens, towels, and resident bedding.
  • Restock housekeeping and hygiene supplies; dispose of trash and biohazards per policy.
  • Maintain cleaning logs and licensing/accreditation documentation.
  • Maintain list of building and cleaning systems and maintenance calendars.
  • Follow policies on resident privacy, safety, and boundaries in a behavioral health setting.
  • Complete required training, including infection control and compliance.
  • Report safety hazards or facility issues to the Facility Director promptly.
  • Support facility readiness for licensing surveys, inspections, and accreditation visits.

Position Summary

The Maintenance and Housekeeping Technician supports daily operations at Wildwood Recovery Center by maintaining the building, grounds, and equipment in safe, functional, and presentable condition, and by keeping resident and common areas clean and sanitary. This role combines light facility maintenance with routine housekeeping duties and works closely with the Facility Director to keep the property in good working order for residents and staff.


Key Responsibilities

Facility Maintenance


  • Perform routine repairs and preventive maintenance on the building, including minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, and painting work

  • Respond to maintenance requests submitted by staff and complete work orders in a timely manner

  • Inspect and maintain HVAC filters, lighting, door hardware, locks, and other building systems

  • Conduct routine safety checks, including smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, exit signage, and emergency lighting

  • Maintain grounds, walkways, and parking areas, including landscaping upkeep, trash removal, and seasonal work such as snow and ice removal

  • Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors for repairs beyond the scope of this role, under the direction of the Facility Director

  • Maintain an inventory of maintenance tools, parts, and supplies, and communicate reorder needs


Housekeeping


  • Clean and sanitize common areas, offices, restrooms, and shared living spaces on a regular schedule

  • Clean resident rooms and bathrooms in accordance with facility protocols and resident privacy standards

  • Manage laundry services for linens, towels, and resident bedding as assigned

  • Restock housekeeping and hygiene supplies throughout the facility

  • Dispose of trash and biohazard materials according to facility policy and applicable regulations

  • Maintain cleaning logs and complete documentation required for licensing and accreditation standards


General


  • Maintain complete list of all building and cleaning systems and routine maintenance calendars

  • Follow all facility policies regarding resident privacy, safety, and appropriate boundaries within a behavioral health treatment setting

  • Complete required training, including infection control and any facility-specific compliance training

  • Report any safety hazards, maintenance concerns, or facility issues to the Facility Director promptly

  • Support facility readiness for licensing surveys, inspections, and accreditation visits
