Job Summary
Sabino Recovery, a leading treatment center, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Facilities/Maintenance Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the physical integrity of our facilities, ensuring a safe, clean, and operational environment for staff, clients, and visitors. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong work ethic, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on facility equipment, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and other building infrastructure.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address maintenance needs, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
- Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or large-scale projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion.
- Maintain grounds, including landscaping and waste management, to provide a clean and welcoming environment.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, minimizing downtime and disruptions to facility operations.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and scheduled maintenance.
- Monitor and manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, ordering replacements as necessary.
- Assist with setup and teardown for events and meetings, ensuring proper arrangement and functionality of equipment and facilities.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, promoting a culture of safety within the workplace.
Requirements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in facilities management or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in facilities maintenance or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools, as well as maintenance and repair equipment.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with staff, clients, and vendors.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, climbing, and working in various weather conditions.
The Facilities/Maintenance Worker will work in a variety of settings, including indoor and outdoor environments. This role requires the ability to lift and move heavy objects, work at heights, and operate various tools and equipment. The position may also require on-call availability for emergencies.
