Job summary

The Center for Youth is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Rochester, NY to work with the Assistant Director of Facilities and Operations. The role focuses on maintaining facilities, coordinating projects, and ensuring safety compliance across properties.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, safety inspections, and coordinating with contractors. This is a full-time position with a 37.5-hour weekly schedule and a starting pay of $25 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in facilities maintenance.
• A valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• General maintenance/repairs
• Painting
• Light carpentry (assembly of office furniture, hanging shelves, etc)
• Minor electrical work
• Repair/replacement of fixtures and equipment.
• Yard and/or grounds maintenance
• Report on items concerning health and safety issues with a plan of action for correction.
• Perform and document interior and exterior physical inspections
• Supervise the scheduling, tracking and maintenance of annual fire clearances, fire alarm tests, and fire sprinkler inspections for all properties.
• Ensure that general safety standards and OSHA regulations are followed.
• Ensure that all equipment and tools are in clean and safe working order.

• Prepare property incident reports
