Job summary

Qualifications

• 2-3 years’ maintenance experience required.
• Combination of experience and training for minor electrical, plumbing, HVAC and renovation work.
• Perform a variety of building and equipment maintenance duties.
• Knowledge of and the ability to operate, receive, store, issue and maintain tools and equipment used in facilities.
• Knowledge of and the ability to follow good health and safety principles.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Receive, store, issue, maintain power tools and equipment used in facilities.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Maintain and monitor inventory levels.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and have all tools necessary to perform work.
• Perform minor repairs to electrical system and equipment; replace ballast and fixtures.
• Replace broken pipes; clean plugged drains; routine maintenance on fixtures.
• Assist in installation of new plumbing fixtures.
• Repair/install/re-key locks; install/repair doors and hardware.
• Perform minor repairs to interior and exterior building surfaces.
• Prepare surfaces for painting; apply protective finishes.
• Snow removal as required.
• Move furniture or heavy objects.
• Be able to flex time to work weekends as requested.
• Other duties as assigned.
