Job summary

Plug Power is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician in Rochester, MN. The role focuses on maintaining buildings, grounds, and infrastructure, performing routine maintenance, and coordinating vendors to keep the facility safe and efficient.

Responsibilities include inspections, basic repairs, preventive maintenance, and supporting office moves and setup. Requires 5+ years in facilities maintenance, strong knowledge of building systems, and CMMS proficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in building maintenance or facilities operations.
• Experience coordinating vendors and managing preventive maintenance programs.
• Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, life safety).
• Proficient with CMMS, work orders, and documenting inspections.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections of buildings, grounds, and common areas.
• Complete basic repairs to doors, windows, walls, and fixtures.
• Replace light bulbs, filters, and other components as needed.
• Assist with minor plumbing and electrical maintenance when qualified.
• Maintain preventive maintenance records and work orders.
• Coordinate vendor and contractor activities and ensure safety compliance.
