Job summary

EMCOR Facilities Services has an immediate opening for a General Maintenance Technician in Golden, CO. The Technician reports to the GMT supervisor and ensures high-quality workmanship and safety compliance while maintaining a professional environment.

A valid driver’s license and 4+ years of hands-on facilities maintenance experience are required. The role requires strong communication skills to build relationships with customers, vendors, and team members.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3 years of experience related to facility maintenance.
• Valid US driver’s license.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with GMT supervisor to determine service needs and coordinates office moves on site.
• Performs general maintenance tasks such as changing ceiling tiles, touching walls, hanging pictures, and assisting other technicians.
• Plumbing skills including lavatory sinks, restroom fixtures, and drains.
• Performs preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment and electrical systems.
• Completes a wide range of corrective maintenance tasks as directed.
• Assists in snow removal, salting, and snow equipment operation.
• Assists in repair, replacement, and refurbishing of electrical components; follows safety norms.
• Assists the Plumbing GMT and Electrician in their functions with safety compliance.
