Cardinal Health is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician for the Consumer Health Logistics Center in Groveport, OH. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of building systems with opportunities to work on automation and asset management tasks.

The position requires a safety-first mindset, strong maintenance knowledge across HVAC/electrical/plumbing, and the ability to work independently or with a team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent; work experience acceptable.
• 4+ years of experience preferred.
• Safety-first approach to equipment operation and maintenance.
• Familiarity with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to diagnose and repair various equipment.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Forklift, scissor lift, and other heavy machinery preferred.
• CMMS software or maintaining maintenance records.
• Lockout/Tagout safety familiarity.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in tight spaces.
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting skills, and attention to detail.
• On-call, overtime, and occasional weekend shifts availability.
• Some automation troubleshooting experience preferred.
• Lean Six Sigma principles understanding helpful.
• Commitment to standardized work and respectful environment.
• Independent work ethic with teamwork and urgency.
• Basic English proficiency for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, generator, and mechanical systems.
• Diagnose and repair faulty equipment using diagnostic tools and replace parts as needed.
• Participate in facility improvement projects and safety initiatives.
• Operate a forklift and other material handling equipment to move parts and equipment.
• Complete inventories of spare parts storehouse and facility supplies.
• Perform general maintenance tasks like painting, carpentry, landscaping, and cleaning.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, repairs, and inspections.
• Assist Automation Technician with real-time troubleshooting of automation systems.
• Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills.
• Manage and complete assigned work orders in a timely manner.
• Communicate progress and concerns with supervisors and stakeholders.
• Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with standards.
• Promote innovation and standardization of processes.
