Cardinal Health is seeking an Automation Technician for the Consumer Health Logistics Center (CHLC) in Groveport, Ohio. The role focuses on installing, maintaining, and replacing automation systems across production processes to ensure minimal downtime and optimal equipment performance.

You will provide SME guidance to leadership and deliver reports on current capabilities and future opportunities. The position operates on a second shift, on-site, with responsibilities spanning preventive

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 4+ years of experience preferred.
• Associate degree or certification in Industrial Maintenance, Automation or electrical-related field preferred.
• Safety-first approach to operation and maintenance of equipment.
• Basic understanding of PLC programming and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Familiarity with CMMS software or maintenance scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Primary on-site point of contact for day-to-day automated conveyance system maintenance.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on Intelligrated automation systems (conveyors, sorters, depalletizers).
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and software issues using diagnostic tools and schematics.
• Monitor system performance and address inefficiencies to improve reliability and uptime.
• Collaborate with operations to respond to maintenance priorities.
• Maintain logs, documentation and reports for parts usage and service records.
• Assist with installation, commissioning, and configuration of new automation systems.
