Job summary

Randstad USA in New York is seeking an entry-level facilities maintenance technician to perform general maintenance in warehouse and production areas and support equipment repairs. You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues and complete preventive maintenance on building systems and components.

Responsibilities include repairing doors, locks, shelving, fixtures, and other building components, maintaining tools and supplies, and keeping work areas clean and safe.

Qualifications

• 2 years of maintenance experience required.
• Proficient with plumbing, electrical, and basic carpentry.
• Ability to read blueprints and use hand/power tools safely.
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Warehouse or distribution facility experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform general facility maintenance and repairs
• Troubleshoot basic mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues
• Complete preventive maintenance throughout the facility
• Perform carpentry, painting, patching, hardware installation, and general repairs
• Repair doors, locks, shelving, fixtures, and building components
• Assist with basic warehouse and facility equipment repairs
• Inspect the facility and identify maintenance or safety concerns
• Use hand and power tools to complete maintenance projects
• Respond to maintenance requests and prioritize repairs
• Assist with installations and facility improvement projects
• Maintain tools, parts, and maintenance supplies
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe

Responsibilities

• Use hand and power tools safely to complete maintenance projects.
• Respond to maintenance requests and prioritize repairs based on operational needs.
• Maintain maintenance tools, parts, supplies, and equipment.
• Assist with facility improvement and installation projects as needed.
• Keep maintenance and work areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Follow company safety procedures and properly document completed maintenance work.
