Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking a reliable Facilities Maintenance Mechanic to keep building equipment, utilities, and structure safe, functional, and well-maintained. You'll handle routine preventive maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and complete emergency repairs across the facility.

The role requires 2+ years of hands-on maintenance experience, basic HVAC/electrical/plumbing knowledge, and proficiency with hand and power tools.

Qualifications

• 2 years of hands-on maintenance experience.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Own tools is a plus and helpful for on-site tasks.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostics & Inspection: run diagnostics and visually inspect engine and related systems to identify faults.
• Routine Maintenance: perform scheduled fluid changes, filter replacements, tire rotations, and tune-ups.
• System Repairs: replace worn components such as brakes, belts, hoses, and exhaust elements.
• Electrical Work: troubleshoot and repair wiring, batteries, alternators, and sensors.
• Documentation & Compliance: log repairs and maintenance tasks; comply with safety regulations.

Job description

We are seeking a reliable Facilities Maintenance Mechanic to ensure our building equipment, utilities, and structure remain safe, functional, and well-maintained. You will handle routine preventive maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and complete emergency repairs across the facility.

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in building or industrial maintenance.
• Basic working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and basic diagnostic equipment. (Having own tools is a plus!)
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair minor plumbing (leaks, fixtures) and electrical issues (switches, outlets, lighting).
• Inspect machinery, pumps, motors, and facility equipment daily to identify wear or malfunctions.

salary: $50,000 - $65,000 per year

shift: First

work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM

Responsibilities

• Diagnostics & Inspection: Run electronic diagnostic scans, perform test drives, and visually inspect engine, transmission, steering, and braking systems to identify faults.
• Routine Maintenance: Perform scheduled fluid changes (oil, coolant, transmission), filter replacements, tire rotations, wheel balancing, and tune-ups.
• System Repairs: Repair or replace worn and defective components, including brake pads, rotors, shocks, struts, belts, hoses, and exhaust systems.
• Electrical Work: Troubleshoot and repair electrical wiring, battery systems, alternators, starters, and sensors.
• Documentation & Compliance: Log completed repairs and maintenance tasks accurately, adhere to local safety regulations, and safely dispose of hazardous fluids.
