Job summary

HeartShare is seeking a Maintenance Worker to ensure cleanliness and daily upkeep of the program, including basic repairs, safety procedures, and efficient operation of the facility in New York.

Responsibilities include seasonal exterior maintenance, utility checks, and assisting in securing the premises. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid driver's license, and willingness to travel between locations as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Certificate of Fitness for the Boiler preferred as needed by the facility.
• Driver's license required.
• Experience with light plumbing, painting, carpentry is desirable.
• Self-motivated with good organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic maintenance duties (lighting, plumbing, carpentry) and repairs.
• Arrange furniture as requested.
• Clean floors, restrooms, walls, and upholstery.
• Open/close facility and assist in security.
• Travel between schools in Queens and Brooklyn when needed.
• Maintain exterior of the facility and perform seasonal upkeep.
• Follow regulations, report incidents promptly.
• Inventory and store chemicals safely.
