Job summary

Vylor, Inc. in Johnston, IA, is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our on-site team. You’ll perform building and equipment maintenance, preventive tasks, and project work to maintain labs and work environments.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 2 years of trade-related experience, and hands-on skills with HVAC, electrical systems, and refrigerated equipment. Proficiency with MS Office and CMMS is expected.

  • 2 years of trade experience/education in a maintenance related field.
  • Experience troubleshooting HVAC, refrigeration, and building electrical systems.
  • Proficiency with computer systems including MS Office and CMMS.
  • Able to work independently and in a team; good communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform building maintenance, preventive maintenance, and general repairs.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain HVAC, A/C, refrigeration, and electrical systems.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for projects and materials.
  • Maintain PM/work order records and ensure timely completion.
  • Support on-call rotation and day shift as needed.

The inclusive, motivated team in Johnston offers a safe and innovative work environment that allows for personal and professional growth.VISA Sponsorship is not available for this position.Relocation assistance is not offered for this position.This role will be on-site at the Vylor location.Primary Responsibilities - How will you help us Grow!Contribute to the mechanical maintenance team by performing building maintenance, preventive maintenance, general troubleshooting, repairs, and projects to control/maintain the environment and working conditions for employees and to control/maintain laboratory conditions required for company research activities.Interface as needed with contractors to coordinate projects and vendors/suppliers regarding needed materials and supplies.Prioritize and organize work schedule by utilizing PM system reports and work orders.
