Meadowbrook Care Center in Cincinnati, Ohio is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support the Maintenance Director with projects, repairs, and preventive tasks. The role includes maintaining the facility, grounds, and equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operation of systems, and assisting with wiring, plumbing, and general repairs as needed.

The position requires capable handling of routine physical labor and the ability to step in when the director is away.

Qualificações

• Experience in a long-term care setting preferred.
• Ability to perform routine maintenance and repair on facility/equipment (plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, painting).
• Experience with heating and cooling units/systems (HVAC).
• Strong general maintenance skills.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with maintenance projects, repairs or audits as needed.
• Maintain grounds, facility and equipment in a safe, efficient manner.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to keep machines and building systems running smoothly.
• Fill in when the maintenance director is on vacation or out of the building.
• Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand and power tools.
• Assemble, install or repair wiring, electrical components, pipe systems, and plumbing.
• Perform routine physical labor tasks (posting notices, litter pickup, moving furniture).
• Clean up at end of day or upon job completion.
• Set up meeting areas for meetings/events.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
