Meadowbrook Care Center in Cincinnati, Ohio seeks a Maintenance Assistant (Monday-Friday) to support the Maintenance Director with projects, repairs, and audits, and to keep the facility and grounds safe and well‑maintained for its 156 beds. You will perform preventive maintenance, repair or replace defective parts, install wiring and plumbing, and help set up meeting areas.

Candidates with experience in long-term care and broad maintenance skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in a long-term care setting preferred.
• Ability to perform routine maintenance and repair on facility and equipment (plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, painting).
• Experience with service heating and cooling units/systems.
• Strong general maintenance skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with projects, repairs, or audits as needed.
• Maintain grounds, facility, and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance for machines and building systems.
• Fill in when the maintenance director is on vacation or out of the building.
• Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools.
• Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems, and plumbing.
• Perform routine physical labor tasks and light cleaning at day end.
• Set up meeting areas for meetings and events.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

At Meadowbrook Care Center, we are seeking a talented and dedicated Maintenance Assistant to join our team. As a Maintenance Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the upkeep and cleanliness of our 156-bed facility, located in the heart of Cincinnati, Ohio.

About the Role:

As a Maintenance Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the Maintenance Director with various projects, repairs, and audits, as well as maintaining the grounds, facility, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Your duties will include performing routine preventive maintenance, repairing or replacing defective equipment parts, and assembling, installing, or repairing wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems, and plumbing.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with projects, repairs, or audits as needed
• Maintain the grounds, facility, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure machines continue to run smoothly and building systems operate efficiently
• Fill in when the maintenance director is on vacation or out of the building
• Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools
• Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems, and plumbing
• Perform a variety of routine physical labor tasks, including posting general notices, pulling weeds, picking up litter, and moving furniture
• Clean up at the end of the day or when the job is completed
• Set up meeting areas for meetings and events
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned

Qualifications:
