Job summary

Sandoval County's Public Works Facilities department is seeking a dedicated Facilities Maintenance Worker in Bernalillo, NM. You will perform routine preventive and general maintenance on buildings, systems and equipment, including electrical, plumbing, grounds, carpentry, locksmith, custodial, drywall and HVAC, using various tools and testing equipment.

You will drive to facilities as needed, assist with grounds upkeep, and help maintain safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 1 year of facilities/grounds maintenance experience.
• Valid New Mexico Driver’s License.
• Must pass background and pre-employment screenings including FPBDS and SOP requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and general maintenance on buildings, systems and equipment including electrical, plumbing, grounds, carpentry, locksmith, custodial, drywall, painting, and HVAC.
• Operate a variety of tools and equipment; troubleshoot problems and perform repairs to ensure safety and cleanliness of facilities.
• Drive to remote or local facilities as needed and coordinate with supervisor on supplies and equipment.
