Job summary

The Town of Ashland seeks a Maintenance Technician responsible for the overall cleanliness, sanitation, security, safety and maintenance of the assigned facilities, buildings, grounds and equipment. This employee monitors supply and equipment inventories, facility rentals, and HVAC systems within the Town Properties.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or equivalent; and one to three years of experience in maintenance and custodial work, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Respond to maintenance requests and perform cleaning in assigned buildings.
• Perform snow removal and basic maintenance tasks, including minor repairs and HVAC filter changes.
• Coordinate with Public Building Supervisor and oversee subcontractors for preventive maintenance.
• Maintain stock of cleaning supplies and assist with inventory.
• Operate light to medium equipment and prepare facilities for meetings or events.
