Job summary

The Town of Ashland is seeking a Facilities Custodian responsible for cleanliness, safety and maintenance of Town facilities, buildings, grounds and equipment. You will monitor inventories, facility rentals and HVAC systems, and respond to work orders with a focus on reliable operation.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma and 1–3 years in custodial or maintenance work, with snow removal experience preferred and a valid Class D license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of maintenance/custodial experience preferred.
• Knowledge of snow removal operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial tasks in assigned buildings and areas.
• Respond to maintenance requests and assess urgency.
• Assist with inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Monitor HVAC basics and repair needs within Town properties.
