Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of safety practices for facilities work.
• Good written and oral communication skills and basic math skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance required.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, and equipment failures.

Responsibilities

• Complete minor repair jobs and upgrade projects in the assigned buildings and daycares.
• Attending emergencies when necessary.
• Travel to daycares in the area for occasional repairs weekly.
• Seasonal deep cleaning and maintenance of building interiors and exteriors.
• Perform routine inspections and upkeep to ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Maintain outside areas including lawns, beds, playgrounds and parking lots.
• Move office and classroom furniture to support staffing changes.
• Miscellaneous maintenance tasks as needed.
• Follow OSHA and DHA health and safety guidelines.
• Pick up supplies as needed.
• Other duties as requested.
