Job summary

GOEBEL FIXTURE COMPANY in New York is seeking a full-time maintenance technician to maintain and repair building structures and keep grounds in good condition.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of general maintenance experience, including grounds work, snow removal, plumbing, electrical, and basic carpentry. On-call evenings and weekends may be required, with a strong focus on safety and tenant service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and at least 2 years of general maintenance experience (grounds keeping, snow removal, apartment renovations, vehicle maintenance, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, etc.).
• Job candidates who are licensed and/or certified to perform any of these maintenance duties will receive favorable consideration.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and repairs building structures and grounds.
• Performs grounds work including mowing, weed eating, and cleaning.
• Operates snow removal equipment as needed.
• Repairs buildings/apartments (plumbing, electrical, drywall, carpentry, etc.).
• Pressure washes building exteriors.
• Repairs small engines, vehicles, and appliances.
• On-call for after-hours maintenance and emergencies.
• Assists with moving furniture and unloading supplies.
• Provides professional, prompt, and courteous tenant communications.
• Identifies issues and determines necessary repairs.
