Job summary

Volunteers of America Texas is seeking a dedicated Facilities Maintenance Worker to support the maintenance and operation of our facilities in Fort Worth, TX. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, repairs, and coordinating with contractors to ensure safe, functional spaces for program operations.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent with substantial maintenance experience and a valid TX driver’s license.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent plus six years of relevant experience.
• Valid Texas Driver's License, clear MVR, and ability to be insured.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains systems for facility reporting of maintenance problems.
• Evaluates maintenance issues (electrical, plumbing, structural, equipment) and arranges repairs within technical capability or with external contractors.
• Builds or modifies interior walls or other structures as required.
• Installs equipment and moves furniture/fixtures as directed.
• Maintains a tool and repair part inventory; orders supplies as needed.
• Establishes preventative maintenance programs and conducts periodic status reports.
