Job summary

Responsibilities include assisting licensed mechanics on major projects, inspecting equipment for safety, and maintaining a clean, safe work zone while providing reliable services to county facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus 2+ years in facilities maintenance or related field
• Or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Must have or obtain by date of hire a valid driver's license applicable to job responsibilities; driving record must be acceptable
• A personal mobile smart device is required by hire start date

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed mechanics on major projects including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and interior construction tasks
• Inspect assigned equipment before and after use to ensure safe operation
• Paint interior and exterior surfaces and perform basic carpentry and concrete work
• Replace faulty electrical fixtures and perform minor wiring repairs
• Install/repair flooring, ceilings, furniture, doors, and hardware; change light bulbs and relocate items as needed
• Set up and take down tables and chairs; organize conference rooms and building lobbies for events
