Job summary

Palette Hotels in El Paso, TX is seeking a Maintenance Technician to repair and maintain facility buildings and equipment across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and renewals.

You will perform preventive maintenance, schedule work with housekeeping and front desk, check electrical and plumbing systems, run rounds for safety, and support other engineering staff. GED or HS required; prior maintenance work is preferred.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in maintenance engineering and basic carpentry.
• Ability to perform essential functions with or without accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain timelines and work schedules in accordance with the preventive maintenance program.
• Check work orders and night reports for any problems.
• Make rounds checking problem areas and note information or safety concerns in the hotel.
• Schedule work with preventive maintenance program in rooms, coordinating with Executive Housekeeper and Front Office.
• Perform electrical work orders: replace switches, reset breakers, replace outlets, ballasts, valves, and motors.
• Perform plumbing work orders: unplug sinks/toilets, repair valves, replace washers/gaskets, work with various pipes.
• Perform preventive maintenance on laundry, dry cleaning, kitchen equipment, and guestrooms as per PM punch list.
• Check HVAC: change filters, belts, bearings, lubricate; listen for unusual noises or vibration.
