Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance on boilers, air handlers, pumps, and related equipment at Navicent Health Medical Center - Facilities. This full-time role includes some weekend shifts and on-call requirements, with a pay range that reflects experience and responsibilities.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, technical training, a valid driver's license, and 2–4 years in related maintenance.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Advanced or technical training beyond HS preferred.
Valid Driver's License required.
Experience with facility maintenance or trades is desirable.

Responsibilities

Conducts preventive maintenance on basic facility systems and documents tasks in CMMS.
Assists in troubleshooting building systems and performs repairs as directed.
Operates and monitors building utilities infrastructure.
Assists in maintaining fire alarm and fire protection systems.
Supports installation of building hardware and electrical devices under supervision.
Keeps preventive maintenance records and equipment files for compliance.
Reads blueprints and Life Safety drawings for task knowledge.
