Job summary

Texas State University in San Marcos, TX is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Worker II to maintain and repair residence hall facilities. You'll complete work orders, provide customer service to residents and staff, and participate in on-call rotations with evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
• Basic facility maintenance skills or experience
• Basic computer skills
• Must be a Texas State University employee

Responsibilities

• Assess, update and promptly complete work orders.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents, staff and guests.
• Perform basic electrical repairs and support electricians.
• Perform basic plumbing repairs and make readies.
• Perform basic carpentry and repairs in residences.
• Complete administrative duties like mileage reports and time entry.
• Serve as on-call and essential personnel with irregular hours.
• Access all parts of residential buildings promptly.
