Job summary

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a full-time Facilities Maintenance Technician in Aurora, CO. The role runs 11:00am–7:30pm, requires one holiday a year and a weekend every 6 weeks, and involves maintaining hospital facilities and equipment using CMMS.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting mechanical and patient-care equipment, reading blueprints, performing preventive maintenance, and responding to emergencies. A high school diploma or GED and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills such as CMMS, building automation system, Microsoft Office.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs facility and equipment maintenance per codes and uses CMMS to document.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment like motors, pumps, conveyors, doors, boilers, and heat exchangers with guidance.
• Maintain patient care equipment such as beds, wheelchairs, carts, tables.
• Maintain mechanical/electrical systems (HVAC, piping, gas systems) with guidance.
• Respond to emergencies such as leaks, floods, power outages, or equipment failures as directed.
• Read blueprints and maintenance manuals to complete assignments.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and safety checks.
• Inspect and repair fire doors, hardware, and partitions.
