Job summary

TTUHSC in Amarillo is hiring a Facilities Maintenance Tech II to perform skilled maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and other building systems. This role may oversee lower-level technicians and handle maintenance requests, ensuring safe operation of facilities.

Work schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least three years of relevant experience, with a valid driver’s license preferred.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in written and mathematical skills as may be reflected in the completion of high school or equivalent.
  • Three years of job-relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications
  • General HVAC and maintenance skills, including electrical,plumbing, carpentry, and other physical functions in accordancewith standard operating procedures, internal requirements,manufacturer's specifications, and safety policies.
  • General knowledge and understanding of building heating, airconditioning, and ventilating equipment, along with relatedutilities and controls.
  • Ability to work in the construction, erection, installation,and repair of structures and fixtures.
  • Responsibilities include the knowledge and capability to workwith a team in the construction, alteration, repair, andmaintenance of equipment, furnishings, and various other structuresand fixtures.
  • Ability to use and operate a computer.
  • Work is performed under general supervision with evaluationbased on results obtained. Possess and maintains a valid driver'slicense.
