Job summary

Cox Automotive Inc. in Riverside, CA seeks a facilities maintenance worker responsible for safe, clean buildings and regular preventive maintenance across site.

You will perform trash pickup, exterior grounds care, inventory, use power tools, and follow safety procedures. This on-site role may require overtime to align with business needs, and candidates must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Mechanically inclined preferred.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record required.
• Comfortable using power tools.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Effectively communicate and interact with staff, management and customers.
• Efficiently multi-task in a fast paced environment.
• Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear.
• Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb.
• Medium strength. Ability to lift 1–50 pounds.
• Vision abilities include close, distance and color vision and depth perception.

Responsibilities

• Performs regular trash pickup and preventive maintenance tasks as assigned.
• Maintain exterior of facility and outside grounds; perform cleanup duties.
• Ensure all buildings and work areas are kept clean.
• Maintain supply inventory and stock supply closet as needed.
• Follow safe operating procedures when using cleaning solutions and equipment.
• Support safety programs and demonstrate safety awareness.
• Keep current assigned work orders in online system.
• Assist with department maintenance tasks as needed; deliver supplies.
• Overtime may be required as business needs dictate.
