Job summary

okgov in Oklahoma City is seeking an experienced Construction/Maintenance Technician I/II to maintain the facility, grounds, and equipment across the central juvenile center. Qualifications

  • Two years of experience in one or more building trades or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Possession of a valid Oklahoma driver's license and willingness and ability to perform travel as needed.
  • Must be able to pass OSBI and FBI background checks.
  • A 12-month trial period will be required.

Responsibilities

  • Performs carpentry work in construction or renovation of buildings; erects scaffolds, sheds, frames, fences, doors and windows, and maintains roofs.
  • Maintains and repairs plumbing fixtures, and minor equipment such as laundry and kitchen equipment.
  • Maintains and repairs lighting, electrical components, and heating/air-conditioning equipment; conducts minor repairs not requiring a license.
  • Installs and maintains locks and security devices; constructs and repairs foundations, walls, walkways, and other structures.
  • Operates and maintains equipment used in construction and maintenance of buildings and grounds.
  • Demonstrates teamwork and adherence to agency mission, values, and confidentiality.
