Job summary

U.S. Facilities, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to support maintenance operations at Ringgold, GA.

You will respond to work orders, troubleshoot issues, and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment and building systems to keep facilities safe, clean, and fully operational. Applicants should have plumbing experience, 2–3 years QA/QC preferred, and relevant certifications (Journeyman electrician or HVAC preferred).

Qualifications

/ High school diploma or equivalent required.
/ Hands-on plumbing experience required.
/ 2-3 years QA/QC experience preferred.
/ Journeyman electrician certification or HVAC certification preferred.
/ Experience in operations and maintenance in industrial/large commercial/logistics environment preferred.
/ Good standing with state licensing board.
/ Understanding of mechanical maintenance concepts.
/ Knowledge of drywall, patching, painting; door locking mechanisms; heating/ventilation; plumbing; conveyors; pumps; motors; gearboxes; fans; power transmission; cranes/hoists is a plus.
/ Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
/ High attention to detail and ability to work with little direction.
/ Strong verbal/written communication and customer service with a team-player attitude.
/ Ability to handle demands and remain professional during stress.
/ Demonstrated computer skills including Microsoft Office (Outlook/Excel/Word).
/ Valid driver’s license.
/ Flexibility to work overtime and varied schedules.
/ Ability to pass pre-employment substance abuse test and obtain security badge.

Responsibilities

Respond to work orders, troubleshoot issues, and perform preventive maintenance on facility equipment and building systems.
Inspect subcontractor work to confirm it meets contract standards and approved scope.
Create and update task/work orders in the CMMS as assigned.
Perform general maintenance such as carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical repairs.
Repair building fixtures, including lights, locks, doors, walls, and gutters.
Promote a culture of safety by applying proper safety practices and procedures.
