Job summary

Town of Easton is seeking a maintenance worker to perform general upkeep of facilities, carpentry, plumbing, electrical and painting tasks. The role includes HVAC basics, moving furniture, clearing sidewalks in bad weather, and maintaining safe, clean work sites.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Valid Driver’s License.
Two years’ experience of general trades services, maintenance and or janitorial experience preferably in a facility setting.
Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, painting, and electrical wiring.

Responsibilities

Under general supervision, performs a variety of work in the general maintenance of buildings and equipment at various facilities/sites.
Rough and finished carpentry work in construction and repair of walls, doors, and window frames.
Have a HVAC experience is desirable to include performing minor troubleshooting, changes filters on heating, ventilation and air conditioning units.
Moves and assists in moving furniture and equipment at various facilities/sites.
Clears sidewalks at main facility during inclement weather.
Maintains clean, safe, and orderly work sites.
