Job summary

Town of Hanover is seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry systems across town facilities. This full-time role offers hands-on work, training opportunities, and modest supervisory duties in a municipal setting.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of relevant experience, basic trades knowledge, and the ability to read blueprints. A NH driver’s license is desirable; HVAC-related credentials are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of building maintenance or related experience.
• HVAC degree and/or gas license are a plus, but not required.
• Ability to read, write, and perform mathematical calculations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair HVAC systems.
• Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems.
• Unclog drains and locate/repair leaks.
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems.
• Change light bulbs and ballasts.
• Perform carpentry tasks including framing and finish work.
