Job summary

Harford County MD is seeking a Maintenance Worker - Facilities and Operations in Bel Air, MD. The role supports the Building Construction and Repair Supervisor and journeyman mechanics, performing routine semi-skilled tasks in building trades and grounds maintenance on a full-time basis.

The position offers a competitive salary range, full benefits, and requires one year of relevant experience plus a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, vocational-technical school, or GED certificate.
• One year of experience in building construction/maintenance work.
• Valid Class "C" non-commercial driver's license with no more than three points.
• Candidate must obtain and maintain a Non-CDL Medical Certification within six months of hire.
• Must comply with OSHA, MOSH safety regulations and county safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Performs minor tasks in repair and renovation in carpentry, drywall, drop ceilings, floors, painting, finishing, and other trades under close supervision.
• Assists in more difficult tasks in any building trades.
• Keeps equipment in safe and proper working order; operates power tools.
• Moves and transports office furniture and surplus items as required.
• Drives a County vehicle in carrying out assignments.
• Other duties as assigned.
