Job summary

Plug Power Inc. is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to maintain the appearance, functionality, and safety of buildings, grounds, and infrastructure. Responsibilities include inspections, basic repairs, and coordinating with vendors for external work.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least five years in building maintenance or facilities operations, with CMMS and MS Office proficiency. A strong focus on safety and documentation is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5 years building maintenance or facilities experience.
• Experience coordinating vendors, contractors, and service providers.
• Experience with preventative maintenance programs and work order systems preferred.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and life-safety systems.
• Ability to review vendor proposals and coordinate repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections of buildings, grounds, and common areas to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
• Complete basic repairs to doors, windows, walls, flooring, ceilings, fixtures, and furnishings.
• Replace light bulbs, ceiling tiles, filters, weather stripping, and other components as needed.
• Assist with basic plumbing repairs such as replacing faucets, unclogging drains, and repairing leaks.
• Assist with basic electrical maintenance such as replacing switches, outlets, and lighting fixtures when qualified.
• Perform painting, patching, and general carpentry work.
• Coordinate and monitor work performed by external vendors, contractors, and service providers.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and inspection logs.
