Job summary

Naval station Great Lakes-based role in the Facilities/Maintenance Branch of the MWR Department requires a supervisor with trade proficiency. A license in a major trade is preferred, or two years of trades experience with some formal training.

The candidate must demonstrate strong leadership and the ability to read drawings accurately and communicate clearly in writing and speech. Prior Navy/MWR or military experience is encouraged, along with the aptitude to manage personnel and resources for

• Two years of supervisor experience is required.
• Certificate or license in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, or related trades is strongly preferred (may be substituted by two years general trades experience with one year of specialized training).
• Experience reading blueprints/drawings and communicating effectively in writing and verbally is required.
