Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Southern Territory is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead day-to-day maintenance across camp Heart O’Hills facilities, manage HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks, and supervise staff. You will coordinate with vendors, ensure safety standards, and oversee inventory and equipment.

Experience in skilled trades, contractor supervision, and a valid driver’s license are required. This role involves live-on-site responsibilities and overseeing property security.

Qualifications

• Certified Contractor or equivalent experience and/or certification
• Two years course work from a vocational or technical school in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, plumbing, electrical, and construction trades
• Seven years progressively responsible experience performing skilled maintenance and repair work for commercial buildings and grounds with at least two years in a supervisory capacity
• Two years experience operating a comparable sewage treatment facility
• Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Supervises maintenance of TSA properties including carpentry, electrical, plumbing and general upkeep
• Oversees remodeling and renovation projects
• Trains staff in proper methods and procedures
• Maintains heating and air conditioning for camp buildings
• Monitors vehicle and equipment maintenance and safety systems
• Coordinates inventory and procurement of maintenance supplies
• Supervises contract maintenance services
• Ensures security of camp staff and property
