Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certified Pool Operator certification or willingness to obtain one.
• CPR/First Aid certifications are preferred or required.
• Previous supervisory experience in facilities/maintenance.
• Ability to collaborate across departments and manage multiple projects.
• Proficiency with standard business software and computer use.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement facility cleaning, maintenance, and improvements, including preventive maintenance schedules for all YMCA facilities.
• Complete repair work and projects timely while balancing day-to-day and long-term needs.
• Oversee contractors and review bids; recommend selections as needed.
• Ensure proper operation of mechanical systems, including pool systems.
• Coordinate with external agencies to ensure compliance with regulations and maintain licenses.
• Train, develop, schedule and direct assigned staff; evaluate performance.
• Develop strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals; manage inventory of supplies.
