Job summary

YMCA of Central Massachusetts in Worcester is seeking a Facilities Director to oversee maintenance and custodial operations at the Central Community Branch and Camp Blanchard, including preventative maintenance and pool operations.

The role requires supervising staff, coordinating contractors, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance, and managing budgets. The director must be on call 24/7 and able to respond to emergencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in facility management or 5+ years of mechanical repairs and custodial experience.
• 3+ years of facility management or closely related field.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems, carpentry and maintenance.
• CPO certification within 120 days of employment; CPR, First Aid, and AED training within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate facility maintenance, preventative maintenance plans, and custodial services.
• Hire, train, develop, schedule, and direct staff; manage performance.
• Oversee repairs and contractors; ensure pool safety and chemical control (CPO).
• Support night and weekend operations as needed; ensure safety and OSHA compliance.
• Collaborate with other branches and external agencies; manage budgets and costs.
