Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a facilities maintenance supervisor in California to lead a team, oversee safety and sanitation, and ensure preventive maintenance and timely completion of work orders. The role emphasizes cost control, reliability, and adherence to company values.

You will collaborate with planners and supervisors, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement while supporting a safe, efficient operation in a large retail environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience working in a facility maintenance department (Level 5)
• 5+ years maintenance experience
• 2+ years of leadership experience
• Introductory skill set of maintenance (Level 4)
• Proficient in Microsoft office programs
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to report and recommend solutions to challenges
• Highly motivated, and capable to address issues with a strong sense of urgency

Responsibilities

• Communicate with fellow supervisors and managers on daily operational activities
• Manage and promote safety and sanitation in all areas
• Work closely with the Planner /Scheduler to ensure all weekly preventive maintenance is completed
• Ensure all corrective work orders are completed timely at 100% accuracy
• Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
