Job summary

BorgWarner seeks a 2nd/3rd shift Facilities Supervisor to oversee daily operations, ensuring HVAC, electrical and related systems support safe, high-quality production. You will collaborate with engineers, QA, and maintenance to resolve issues and ensure timelines.

You will supervise up to 20 journeymen, monitor equipment, plan schedules, and coordinate safety, training, and capital projects with the Facilities Engineer. This role requires 2nd/3rd shift availability.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent technical degree; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2+ years supervisory experience.
• New York State Apprenticeship a plus.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to work 2nd and/or 3rd shift.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate facility support systems (HVAC, compressors, pumps, chillers, wastewater) to meet schedules and customer expectations.
• Collaborate with engineers, QA, production and maintenance on solutions.
• Supervise Electrical and HVAC Journeymen (up to 20 staff).
• Monitor materials, equipment, documentation and processes for facilities operations.
• Plan employee work schedules, training, appraisals and safety compliance.
• Coordinate building/grounds activities for functional and visual appeal.
• Maintain facility drawings/schematics (electrical, plumbing, HVAC).
• Prepare records (PM, downtime, projects) and reports with Facilities Engineer.
• Initiate capital requests with input from Facilities Engineer.
• Coordinate contractors and on-site pre-job briefings.
• Manage layout changes in office areas; oversee fire suppression with safety.
• Cordinate plant shutdown activities related to facility system maintenance.
• Enforce safety training and health requirements.
