Job summary

San Diego Convention Center Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee day-to-day electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and building system maintenance at the San Diego Convention Center. You will lead internal trades staff, review work orders, coordinate inspections, manage CMMS, and ensure safety and compliance with building codes.

This role requires a high school diploma, 3 years' experience in facilities maintenance with two years in supervision, and strong communication and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3 years' building trades or facilities maintenance.
• 2+ years of lead or supervisory experience.
• Experience operating a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Familiarity with Title 24 and local/federal building codes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee internal trades staff and assist with staffing schedules.
• Review work orders to diagnose problems and ensure cost‑effective repairs.
• Monitor backlog and develop strategies to reduce it.
• Coordinate system repairs, modifications, and routine inspections with minimal event impact.
• Ensure safety standards and OSHA compliance across maintenance work.
• Maintain CMMS records and assist with asset documentation.
• Assist with budget planning and inventory for repairs.
• Direct contract labor and vendors to meet standards.
