Job summary

Nisqually Indian Tribe seeks a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to plan, coordinate, and supervise maintenance of Tribal facilities and grounds. The role involves leading staff, coordinating preventive work, and managing budgets and safety procedures.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication, hands-on maintenance skills, and experience coordinating with contractors to deliver safe, reliable facilities for Tribal operations and events.

Qualifications

• This position requires five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in facilities/buildings/grounds maintenance including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry works.
• Two (2) years of supervisory or lead experience in facilities maintenance or related fields, with staff assignment and training duties.
• Valid Washington State Driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Successful pre-employment drug screen and criminal background checks including FBI background check.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee routine and preventive maintenance of Tribal facilities and grounds.
• Supervise staff, develop schedules, assign and inspect work, and conduct performance evaluations.
• Coordinate with outside contractors and manage budgets and purchasing procedures.
• Ensure safety training, equipment inspection, and compliance with safety standards.
• Prepare, set up, and tear down facilities for Tribal events and activities.
