Job summary

Sunshine Retirement Living LLC seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee preventive maintenance across the Community, including interiors, exteriors, grounds, and common areas. This on-site role ensures safety, aesthetics, and operation within budget, with potential back-up driving duties for residents.

The supervisor coordinates maintenance staff or contractors, ensures safety programs, and maintains equipment and records. Strong communication and teamwork are essential in this hands-on role.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years hands-on maintenance experience in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, etc.
• Ability to perform and coordinate emergency building repairs and coordinate subcontractors.
• Provide training for Executive Director in emergency systems operation.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record; may assume Community Driver duties.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and repair of interior, exterior, and equipment; supervise or perform tasks as directed.
• Inspect Community and monitor maintenance log to address concerns promptly.
• Run maintenance programs (HVAC, carpet, mold) and meet repair deadlines.
• Order equipment, parts, and services; monitor capital improvement projects.
• Maintain safe, orderly mechanical rooms and store supplies safely.
• Perform on-call emergency maintenance and assist housekeeping in deep cleaning.
• Maintain positive communication with authorities and staff; participate in safety committees.
• Cross-train for other positions as directed; ensure compliance with safety and health guidelines.
