Job summary

Alaska Army National Guard is seeking a Maintenance Specialist for Building/Facility/Construction duties in Bethel and surrounding villages. The role covers independent construction, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance across multiple state facilities within state codes and regulations.

You will diagnose and repair heating, cooling, electrical, plumbing issues, and read complex blueprints and control logic.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of machines, tools, designs, installation, repair and maintenance.
• Understanding of civil engineering concepts for facilities and public works.
• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and identify system malfunctions.

Responsibilities

• Construct, troubleshoot, repair and maintain state facilities.
• Identify problems and decide on resolutions for building systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, boilers, furnaces, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Read blueprints, ladder diagrams, schematics, and control logic.
