Job summary

NMS is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Anchorage, AK to support building operations including lighting, HVAC, plumbing, and safety systems. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical equipment, read blueprints, and maintain logs and readings.

The role requires at least 3 years of related facility maintenance experience in a commercial setting, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift and work in varying conditions.

Qualifications

• High school or mechanical trade school graduation or equivalent training.
• At least 3 years of directly related facility maintenance experience in a commercial building setting.
• A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record for the past 3 years to be eligible.
• Pre-employment requirements include hair follicle drug test, physical assessment and criminal background check.
• Ability to cooperate and work as part of a team with colleagues, customers and clients.
• Ability to make decisions in the moment with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provides the highest quality of service to the customer at all times.
• Performs all assigned preventative maintenance work.
• Performs all assigned work on electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Follows specifications, blueprints, manuals and schematic drawings for installation, maintenance and repair.
• Uses tools and testing devices to diagnose and repair equipment; dismantles and installs parts.
