Job summary

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services, Northern Wisconsin Center in Chippewa Falls, is hiring a Facilities Maintenance Specialist – Advanced. This full-time role typically runs 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with potential night and weekend overtime for emergencies.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and related equipment, install systems, assist with locksmithing, and support groundskeeping.

Qualifications

• Ability to work scheduled hours with possible overtime, including weekends and holidays.
• Experience performing maintenance, repairs, or servicing on buildings or equipment.
• Plumbing experience is required.
• Experience using and maintaining mowing and snow removal equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and related systems.
• Repair appliances and food service equipment as needed.
• Maintain and repair campus maintenance equipment and building systems.
• Assist with locksmithing services for the campus.
• Perform fire drills in line with NFPA Life Safety codes.
• Carry out groundskeeping and seasonal maintenance of grounds, roadways, and facilities.
