Job summary

The State of Wisconsin, Department of Military Affairs, is hiring a Facilities Maintenance Specialist- Advanced in Green Bay. The position performs advanced electrical, plumbing, HVAC maintenance, and related repairs at the Wisconsin National Guard Armory complex. A vehicle and all tools are provided, and the role may involve leading others and coordinating with contractors.

Work hours are Tuesday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with a 12-month probation.

Qualifications

• Experience with maintenance and repairs of electrical systems.
• Experience operating lawn and snow removal equipment.
• Experience with occupational hazards and safety precautions for building mechanical systems.
• Experience using computers and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and repairs to building mechanical equipment.
• Advanced electrical and plumbing maintenance and HVAC units and controls.
• Lead worker over personnel on maintenance tasks.
• Coordinate with contractors and may work at other facility locations.
• Primary work location is Green Bay, with possible duties at other sites.
