Job summary
State of Wisconsin, Department of Military Affairs (DMA) is hiring a Facilities Maintenance Specialist- Advanced. The role covers the southeast region and will be based in one of several cities, including West Bend, Milwaukee or Waukesha.
The position involves advanced maintenance of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, steam lines and related equipment, with supervisory guidance and occasional contractor coordination. A driver’s license and state fleet policy compliance are required.
Qualifications
- Experience / training in using hand and power tools.
- Experience / training in commercial or industrial maintenance.
- Experience / training in commercial or industrial plumbing.
- Experience / training in commercial or industrial electrical.
- Experience / training in commercial or industrial heating and cooling systems.
- Formal education and/ or degree earned in electromechanics or related field.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair building mechanical equipment and overhead doors.
- Perform advanced electrical and plumbing maintenance and repairs.
- Maintain HVAC units, controls, steam lines and valves.
- Complete small remodeling projects and coordinate with contractors when needed.
