Job summary

Corning Incorporated in North Carolina is seeking a facilities technician to perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and building-related duties across various sites. The role involves supporting project planning, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring safety and environmental compliance.

You will participate in safety audits, document actions in the CMMS, and assist in coordinating with internal teams to keep facilities running smoothly.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Perform facilities preventive maintenance, repairs, remodeling, grounds, construction, forklifts, fire suppression systems, overhead doors and related duties as directed.
• Support project planning scheduling in day-to-day activities for construction, renovations, building repairs, and related projects.
• Interface with internal customers, contractors, outside service providers, and management for all work orders.
• Communicate timely status reports for work orders and projects to the facilities coordinator and internal customers.
• Support efforts to comply with Environmental and Safety directives.
• Ensure contractors are trained in orientation and OSHA compliance.
• Document corrective action work orders for CMMS entry and tracking.
• Perform safety and environmental audits during weekly PMs and report findings.
