Job summary

Chicanos Por La Cause, Inc. is seeking a Facilities Custodian to keep classrooms, offices, and grounds safe, clean and well-maintained in accordance with Head Start standards and licensing.

You will perform daily cleaning, inspections, minor repairs, and inventory tasks to support a productive learning environment. The role requires High School/GED and custodial experience, valid driver’s license, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High School/GED and 6 months of custodial experience required.
• Knowledge of maintenance, inventory and purchasing supplies.
• Requires a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Work with Center Service Manager to develop a routine maintenance schedule.
• Replenish tissue and paper towel dispensers throughout the center.
• Complete daily sanitation of all center toilet facilities.
• Empty and sanitize all center trash containers from classrooms, office and kitchen.
• Clean all inside windows and outside windows.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum all center floors.
• Submit order supply lists of custodian supplies needed.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness per licensing requirements.
